Have you ever heard of Ideapaint? Ideapaint is really fun and helpful to use! My classroom’s paint color is clear. Also, when we apply dry erase expo markers, the marker comes off super well when erasing is needed.
In my classroom, my teacher had an idea. She thought we would really enjoy and benefit from having it in our room. She was given money that was donated from DonorsChoose. When the paint was delivered, it was painted on over the weekend on top of some of our desks and tables. After the weekend, it was dry and ready to go! We call the paint on the tables and desks whiteboard paint.
Ideapaint is really helpful because, when it is time for math, our teacher lets us make a choice. We get to either pull out a spiral or, if we have a table that is painted, we can solve and practice math problems on the paint. It is very convenient that we are able to use the paint, instead of erasing our math spiral paper and making it look messy. The nice thing about the paint on the whiteboard tables is, the table/paint leaves no mark when erasing is needed.
The second reason the ideapaint is a great product; instead of wasting perfect paper, we can draw on the whiteboard tables. My class can draw sometimes during read aloud on the paint instead of using and wasting paper. People probably don’t always realize this, but most families might later recycle your paper drawings once you don’t want them anymore. It is also, easy to draw more lightly with the markers, instead of sometimes drawing more hard with pencil. You will not have to worry about the marker not showing up on the paint.

That is so incredibly cool! Math was always a difficult subject for me in school. Part of the reason it was hard was finding enough space to write my work out without it all jumbling together in my head. I bet being allowed to write it out on my desk would have been a lot less stressful for me.
ReplyDeleteAs a mom I kind of want to do this to my tables at home. Can you imagine how much easier clean up would be?
