The Library

In our class we have a classroom library where we can borrow books. The most books in which we can borrow is two. The teacher organizes the books by authors, series, and by type. We try our best to keep the library clean and organized, but if we don’t then the librarians will. The librarians in the class are the ones who organize the books and make sure they are where they belong. This is important so that is easy for us to find books that we are looking for.

Our teacher also gets new books when she can. Then we auction over it with our classroom money. This is where the student willing to pay the most money gets the chance to read it first.  This is the only class where I have seen students competing to read books first!

We also have furniture in the library, like the table and the pillows. I like to lean on the wall with a pillow on my back and read. It is quite nice being in a class with a relaxing library where there are a lot of books that we can borrow and be comfortable when we read them.

  1. I've always been a avid reader. I LOVE seeing you kids learn to love books early on. You will be amazed how much reading can tie generations of people together. I've had many conversations with both older people, and younger people that started with a shared love of a book.
