An ominous feeling fell over the room. A shadow was lurking past the shimmering reflection of the glass… A hairy hand grabbed the window… A giant bird was outside our classroom!!! Fortunately for us, she was actually quite friendly. It was Mrs. Arbow, our Vice Principal, dressed up in a Hiteon Hawk suit to boost school spirit!
A few of our teachers were also standing outside our class, taking videos with their phones. To be perfectly honest, at first I thought it was a wild bear, and I’m glad it wasn’t! As we later found out, Mrs. Arbow had been asking for a Hiteon Hawk costume for a long time, and she finally got one! After the incident (and a lot of hugging the fluffy hawk) we heard screaming and laughing coming from one class down, and we knew that the hawk had struck again!

Wow, I am honored to be mentioned in your 5th grade blog! Thanks, Cole!! I love the description and detailed word choice you used to retell the encounter with the hawk. Can't wait to read the next one!
ReplyDeleteThat's sounds like so much fun! Luke's baby sister Rebecca was so excited to see the hawk, she talked about it for days!
